			<description><![CDATA[ This article from Yale is from the mid-nineties.  Curious if you know who the horse logger is and if he is still around.  Since this in WA thought you might
have some ideas.

This is a great example of what is probably the most lucrative business model to be had here in the West.  Forest fragmentation, although from a traditional
management standpoint is not a good thing, is a potential opportunity for horse loggers who wish to capitalize on it.

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve recently picked up a 5 year-old Brabant Belgian stallion and his gelding brother as a potential new team.  My main logging team has a 10 year-old,
very experienced gelding, and an excellent mare that I&#39;ve logged with since she was 8 years old.  She&#39;s 25 now, and has has some arthritis in her knees
that has slowed her down.  I&#39;d like to use the two geldings and stallion together in various logging hitch combinations.  What experience have some of you

effectively banned by the Moderator who will whittle your posts into little vanilla flavored bites. It&#39;s not like I used profanity, personal attacks or

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Wow this board died *sigh* Well I will ask a question anyway. The Forest Service from the Tahoe Basin called me the other day to talk with about doing fuel
reduction. To make a long story short, when skidding logs the but (lead end) can not touch the ground, but neither can wheels from a cart so I am trying to get
ideas. </p>

Censor in Chief nix anything controversial or that might possibly  PO an advertiser. I told the plain truth about Doc Hammils videos- they&#39;re overpriced,
slower than death and all could have been put on 1 DVD. Farmer Brown has 100X the info for less$$ on 2 DVDs.

for farming and pulling. I will be relocating to Bend Oregon at the end of February.Does anyone know of any groups in Bend or Redmond that work with horses to
train them to pull?
